The Chancellor of the Sokoine University of Agriculture is appointed by the President of the united republic of Tanzania and He is the head of the University.
The Chancellor in the name of the University, confer degrees, and grant diplomas, certificates and other awards of the University and also attend in non-executive functions.
Judge (Retired) Joseph Sinde Warioba is the 3rd Chancellor of Sokoine University of Agriculture. He was appointed on November 6th 2016 by Hon.Dr.John Pombe Magufuli, The President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
