Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) in collaboration with research institutions from Ethiopia, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, and the UK has been implementing a 4-year consortium research project, GroFutures: Groundwater Futures in Sub-Saharan Africa, funded by the UK government (DFID, NERC, ESRC) under its UPGro (Unlocking the Potential of Groundwater for the Poor) programme which has been concluded.
