PATRICK MPOMBEYE: Designer of the trap used to capture rats in the fields

MPOMBEYE, PATRICK CLEOPHACE from Pest Management Center (SPMC) of the Sokoine University of Agriculture has developed a Trap Barrier System (TBS) for controlling rats and their effects on rice fields.
Its simple system has managed to control rat damage in the field from 13% to 1%. In this short video (above), Mr. Mpombeye explains how the system he designed works (The language used is Kiswahili)
