This training began on September 19, 2022, in Mbarali District, Mbeya Region, and was officially opened by the district commissioner Hon. Reuben Mfune.

He said that the only way for SUA to achieve its goals is for all staff to ensure that they work hard and fulfill their responsibilities with the utmost integrity to reduce dissatisfaction and grievances from those customers we serve.
To advance research on this topic, researchers Ernest William Mauya and Sami Madundo from Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania, used PlanetScope data to model above ground biomass in the dense tropical montane forests of Tanzania.
Using satellite data, the researchers were able to conduct this research on a large scale and analyze 296 field inventory plots. In tandem with Sentinel 2 data, Planet’s data was integrated into Above Ground Biomass (AGB) models, enabling scientists to make advanced biomass estimations in the region.
The event was organized by the Directorate of Hospital Services and was opened by the acting Director of the Directorate of Undergraduate Studies Dr. Alex Matofali, who among other things, strongly expressed how non-communicable diseases and AIDS contribute to the disability and many deaths among young people.
He explained that the effects have increased significantly in recent years whereby according to the 2016/2017 study it was found that the majority of new HIV infections occurred in young people aged 15 - 23 most of whom are in colleges and universities.
Among the outcomes/outputs of the project include a newly approved curriculum by Senate waiting ICT Commission recommendation and TCU accreditation for Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Innovation (BSc. ITIN) developed by the Department of Informatics and Information Technology at SUA under auspices of EEISHEA project.
The developed curriculum is designed to equip graduates with skills and competences for employability and self-employment through establishment of entrepreneurship mind-sets.
The training was held for two days on 12 and 13 April 2022, in the multipurpose hall at the Edward Moringe campus, and was attended by academic staff and various SUA research project leaders.
On April 13, 2022, in Morogoro Tanzania, the CoForEST project team organized a special workshop with the aim of sharing with stakeholders and communities the results of various research on forest conservation that they have done since the start of the project.
Giving a short speech after receiving a report on how the projects will be implemented in the country, the Deputy Minister of Livestock and Fisheries Hon. Abdallah Ulega commended the efforts made and explained how the projects will help farmers positively especially in avoiding the overuse of drugs in poultry production.

Maryprisca Mahundi (MP) argued water engineers, scientists, practitioners and all water stakeholders to openly communicate the science and various information that will be used in tackling various water challenges for revolutionary water sector’s improvement.
Opening the Workshop, the Director of the Directorate of Postgraduate Studies, Research, Technology transfer and Consultancy at SUA Prof. Esron Karimuribo said researchers have often done a lot of researches but there have been challenges on how to present such findings to users.
He said the event was very important, as researchers would now know how they would present the results of their studies to the target audience and stakeholders including the policy makers.
The training was attended by more than 35 traditional healers and manufacturers of traditional medicines from various regions of Tanzania who came with more than 100 plant medicinal products which after training and discussion, each will be tested to determine the quality and advise them on the best ways to produce and package them to meet government and international standards.
