On February 11, 2023, at the Chamwino Palace in Dodoma, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania Hon. Samia Suluhu Hassan spoke to representatives of the Association of Students of Higher Education Institutions in Tanzania (TAHLISO) and Zanzibar (TAHLIFE) to discuss various matters relating to youth employment and the education sector in Tanzania. One of the key highlights of this meeting was the emphasis on job opportunities for SUA graduates.
The conference was designed to have presentations from each partner on the five thematic areas, namely: Entrepreneurship and Innovation (E&I), Sustainability (SUS), Student-Centred Learning (SCL), E-Learning (E-L), and Teacher Training (TT).

The University lifted four prizes including a trophy and a certificate for the first winner in the category of University and Colleges, a trophy and a certificate for the overall second winner in all categories of exhibitors.
